Minister Joana Bedie

Minister Joana Bedie is a renowned figure in gospel music, celebrated for her dedication as a Gospel Musician, Praise and Worship Leader, Songwriter, and Composer. Hailing from Anyako in the southern Volta Region of Ghana and raised in Hohoe, she discovered her passion for music at the age of 15 during inter-school choral competitions at New Town L/A Basic School. She had her basic education at Hohoe New Town L/A Basic School and her secondary education at the Hohoe Evangelical Presbyterian Secondary School (HEPSS). She currently resides in the United States.

Minister Joana’s gospel music journey began at the age of 17 when she joined the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) choir. Over the past 13 years, she has honed her vocal skills and deepened her commitment to worship ministry within ICGC. She later became the Music Director at Target Chapel International, where she leads and backs, serving as a committed and dedicated leader to the church.

Before her time with ICGC, Minister Joana was already active in the gospel music scene. She began as a backing vocalist for various gospel musicians across the Volta Region and beyond. Her career gained significant exposure when she joined the Joyful Singers (JYS). She further showcased her talents as both a backing and lead vocalist with the Hohoe Mass Choir and actively participated in other interdenominational music ministries, including Soul Servers, The Disciples, C155, and more.

Now based in the United States, Minister Joana continues to expand her ministry globally. In 2023, she released her debut tracks in Ghana, featuring spiritually uplifting songs such as Mawu Lolo, Wonderful God, Winner, Living God, and others. Her music, celebrated for its profound spiritual depth and lyrical richness, inspires and uplifts audiences worldwide.

 

Beyond her music, Minister Joana is a compassionate philanthropist who is deeply committed to supporting the less privileged, especially children. Her faith, talent, and unwavering service leave a lasting legacy as a guiding light in gospel music and worship leadership.
